One of our firefighters NEEDS your help!

Lieutenant Ryan Berg has been a public servant in Fort Bend County for over 10 years. Ryan started his career in 2015 as a Volunteer Firefighter with Stafford Fire Department where he promoted to fulltime firefighter in 2020. Ryan continued to enhance his career in 2022 by joining the Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office as a Hazardous Material Technician and becoming a member of the PGVFD Duty Crew. Recently Ryan was promoted to Lieutenant here at PGVFD.

Ryan not only works many hours between two departments but in his down time between calls and on his days off he is preparing the next generation of firefighters for their careers in the fire service. Ryan has been an integral part in training our probationary firefighters to prepare them for the fire academy. Ryan finds great pleasure in preparing them for and instructing them at Fort Bend County's leading fire academy, Top Fire Emergency Training Academy.

Unfortunately, Ryan has recently been diagnosed with cancer and needs your help. Though Fort Bend County is covering the bulk of the expenses he could use our help alleviating some of the financial burden he is already facing just a couple weeks into his diagnoses. Your PGVFD will be hosting this fundraiser where all the proceeds will go to his expenses. Your PGVFD in partnership with the award winning HTX BBQ and Bottomless Pit BBQ will reward your generosity with one of our amazing 12-15lb average briskets. If brisket is not your thing, then we have options for you to support Ryan. Donation options from $5 to $75 can be made as well. We promise though if you get one of these amazing briskets for your family to enjoy on Easter Sunday you will not regret it.
