The Pecan Grove Fire Department is a combination department consisting of part-time, paid firefighters and members of the community who volunteer their time as trained first responders to serve and protect the community. Whether you are already certified or do not have any prior experience, Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department (PGVFD) has an opportunity for you.

Duty Crew:
Our part-time paid firefighters are TCFP certified structural firefighters and possess a minimum TDSHS EMT-Basic certification. All duty crew members are required to be employed by a full-time fire department or fire/arson investigation agency for a minimum of 1 year.

Volunteer Firefighter:
PGVFD provides all the training you need to become certified as a firefighter in the state of Texas. The PGVFD hosts a recruit academy every year which starts from the ground up in both classroom and hands-on training.
