
Part-time Firefighter/EMT
The Pecan Grove Volunteer Fire Department is a combination department consisting of part-time, paid firefighters and members of the community who volunteer their time as first responders to serve and protect the community.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Perform firefighting, rescue, EMS, hazardous materials, and maintenance duties as outlined in department policy, procedures, guidelines, and protocols

Comply with department policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols

Perform all other duties as directed by supervisory personnel
Knowledge/Skills Required:

Must have a minimum of one year of employment with a career fire department

Must be a full-time employee of a career fire department, fire training institution or fire/arson investigation agency for duration of employment at PGFD

TCFP Basic Structural Fire Fighter

TDSHS EMT-Basic certification

Valid Texas Class “B” driver’s license

Must be able to provide a minimum of 8 shifts per month for scheduling, to include 10 hr. day, 14 hr. night and/or 24 hr. shifts (including a minimum of three (3) weekend shifts)

Preferred: Driver/Operator, Hazardous Materials Technician, TDSHS AEMT and EMTP license/certification
Starting Salary: $17.50 - $18.50/hr. DOQ
(Certification pay for HazMat, AEMT, EMTP)
